Braham Quality of Life
Braham is a small, friendly community located 60 miles north of the
Twin Cities, off Hwy 65. After Braham's first Pie Day on July 20, 1990,
Governor Rudy Perpich declared Braham the "Home-Made Pie Capital
of Minnesota" and it quickly gained national and international
recognition. The City captures tourism with its annual celebration of
"Pie Day" the first Friday in August with pie events, crafters,
vendors, arts, music, songs, dancing, quilt show, and pies, pies, pies...
The city of Braham is located 60 miles from Minneapolis – St.
Paul MSA. The City of Braham works with existing and potential new businesses
to encourage development in the new industrial park located on Co. Rd.
4 next to Hwy. 107. The City offers incentives such as JOBZ which provides
tax exemptions for Corporate Franchise Tax, Income Tax for operators
and investors, Sales tax on goods and services, Property tax, and Employment
tax credits for higher paying jobs. The City also offers programs such
as Tax Increment Financing and Tax Abatement.
